Tommy Mcmillen and Alberto Montes each arrive 1-0 in the UFC. Mcmillen knocked out Manolo Zecchini in the first round in April. Montes submitted Ricky Turcios in the second round in March. The model splits this one almost exactly down the middle and puts Montes a fraction in front.
The read
With one UFC appearance apiece there is very little for the model to separate, and the output says so. Montes' path is the grappling that produced his win. Mcmillen's path is the power that produced his, and a first-round knockout is the loudest thing either man has on record. Decision is the top method, which is where reads land when neither fighter has given the model much to work with.
What decides it
- Montes' submission win vs Mcmillen's one-round knockout
- One UFC fight each, no form to lean on
- Mcmillen's path is landing early and repeating his debut
- Featherweight, three rounds, decision the likeliest method
- Tied for the closest call on the card
