Middleweight champion Sean Strickland said he will not fight or sign a contract until his pay situation is resolved, MMA Fighting reported Friday. "I will not fight or sign any contract until I get this figured out," Strickland wrote on social media. "Hopefully we get it figured out soon." MMA Fighting said he has complained about fighter pay since September amid negotiations for a title defense against Nassourdine Imavov, and that on Wednesday he wrote he was contemplating going to 205 pounds, fighting out his contract and facing Jake Paul. The UFC has not commented in anything we read and has not announced a title fight.

Confirmed

The UFC confirmed catchweights for three UFC Vegas 122 bouts after weigh-in misses: Ismael Bonfim (163.5) vs. Francisco Prado (155), with Bonfim forfeiting a quarter of his purse; Ketlen Souza (117) vs. Loopy Godinez (115.5) and Brendson Ribeiro (208.5) vs. Felipe Franco (205), with Souza and Ribeiro each forfeiting a fifth. MMA Fighting said it is Bonfim's third miss in his UFC run. Allen and Duncan made weight.

Mikey Musumeci has vacated the UFC BJJ bantamweight title to focus on MMA, according to his own statement carried by MMA Fighting. "I am 30 years old and have been obsessed with training MMA and want to prioritize my training for MMA," he wrote, adding that he will keep doing UFC BJJ super fights. The vacant belt will be contested in the main event of UFC BJJ 13 on Oct. 29, Jalen Fonacier vs. Kleber Barboza. Only MMA Fighting carried it in our corpus; the source is Musumeci's own statement.

Reported, not yet official

Sean Strickland signed a new six-fight UFC deal before he challenged for the title at UFC 328 and earns more than a million dollars per bout, Bloody Elbow reported, citing MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn on Bohn's own channel, who named unidentified sources. Bohn also said a widely shared post claiming Strickland earns $400,000 to show and $400,000 to win is false. We searched for a second outlet and found none, and we could not open Bohn's channel. Strickland has not confirmed these terms in anything we read.
