Sadykhov out of UFC 334, Cerrone-Pettis 3 at RAF 15, Strickland's contract comments, and Oct. 10 prices for UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan, Thursday, Oct. 8.
Neither Nazim Sadykhov nor Jefferson Nascimento will fight at UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden, Bloody Elbow reported. Sadykhov said on Instagram that he suffered an injury in the first days of camp and has been dealing with it for more than five weeks. "My opponent withdrew due to injury so myself and my team decided to let the UFC know to not find a replacement," he wrote. He said he needs no surgery and will return as soon as possible.
Bloody Elbow said the card has already lost Baisangur Susurkaev. The heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit still headlines. We did not find a UFC statement or a second outlet with its own reporting; the withdrawal is on the record from the fighter.
Method, round and time details missing from yesterday's DWCS lead are now in MMA Fighting's results story. Salhahuddin Everett knocked out Ozzy Martin in Round 1 in the co-main event. Roque Conceicao beat Alexander Chavez by Round 1 triangle choke. Mateus Soares beat Ryuho Miyaguchi by Round 1 TKO in just over a minute. MMA Fighting gave no exact times for those three finishes. Also: yesterday's edition called Everett a former UFC employee. MMA Fighting's story says he currently works as Dana White's personal runner, and UFC.com's headline calls him a UFC staffer.
Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis will meet a third time, on the mats at RAF 15 on Nov. 28 at NOW Arena in Chicago, Real American Freestyle announced Wednesday. MMA Fighting and Bloody Elbow both carried the announcement. It is the RAF debut for both former UFC fighters. Pettis beat Cerrone by first-round knockout in 2013 and by decision at UFC 249 in 2020, MMA Fighting said. Cerrone has not fought since leaving the UFC in 2022; Pettis last fought in MMA for PFL in 2022. RAF is a wrestling promotion, not MMA. MMA Fighting said RAF events air live on Fox Nation.
Middleweight champion Sean Strickland posted on X that "unless things change with the UFC, I'm kinda over it," Bloody Elbow reported. He wrote that he is contemplating going to 205 pounds, "knocking out my contract" and fighting Jake Paul, and said in a follow-up that giving up his belt for that route "sounds pretty damn appealing." Nothing has been announced by the UFC. Bloody Elbow also cited unattributed reports of the UFC's offer; we did not use those figures.
Flyweight champion Natalia Silva answered Valentina Shevchenko's congratulatory post after UFC 332, telling MMA Fighting: "The belt isn't hers, the belt is mine." Shevchenko had written that she is "coming soon for my belt." MMA Fighting said the title was vacated after Shevchenko suffered an injury and that Silva improved to 9-0 by beating Wang Cong by unanimous decision. This is the champion's own account; Shevchenko has not said when she will return.
Shavkat Rakhmonov posted two TikTok videos this week, Bloody Elbow reported: one captioned "2027" and a follow-up captioned "19-0 VS 19-0." Neither names an opponent; Bloody Elbow and MMA Fighting both link them to Michael Morales, who is also 19-0. Bloody Elbow said Morales told the welterweight division last week he has a fight "for 2027" and named Rakhmonov. Rakhmonov has not fought since beating Ian Machado Garry at UFC 310 in December 2024. No booking or UFC statement has been published.
